Yeah, this is a blog.
March 14th, 2007
My personal website has undergone numerous changes in the twelve or so years it’s existed. In the earlier days of the web, it was a somewhat sprawling personal site with photos and other sundry things. Later, I removed most of the content leaving only a couple of photos and my email address. Now I’ve decided that something like a personal blog would be most useful. That doesn’t necessarily mean that I’ll keep it as a personal journal or the like.
I have had weblogs in the past. At least one personal blog and, later, a news/politics oriented blog called “The Complex Now”, which I shared with Darien Large. In all cases I found that writing about myself and my opinions to some unknown audience seemed, well, silly to me. I am opinionated and write about myself, of course, but exclusively in the context of online discussion. At this point, the virtual soapbox of a blog (in an empty room, in most cases) doesn’t appeal to me.
Though for friends and family, I may post about my current whereabouts and activites, now and then.
Maybe.

So what is with the photos of children? Who is Samantha and Jennifer? Do they help you in your road to truth and peace?
Interesting about your 12 yr progress, if you want to call it that.
I myself find that each day I learn something new, but, instead of teaching me to be thankful, I just feel less intelligent.
